Crazy work cycle

Hello and Good morning my awesome B.V's. Is anyone as not excited as I am about going to work today. I am having one of those "sit at home and do nothing productive" days. You know the funny thing about those kinda days? They never come on Sundays or holidays when you are actually allowed to sit home and do nothing productive. Those days only come on the "go out there and work your b*tt off" kinda days. You know I really find it funny, this life that we live and the circle we have to go through to make ourselves happy is just really silly. A typical persons life goes this way...

You hustle so hard to get a job so you can afford to have a life but then , you spend all your time at work and end up with no time to live the life you're working for. The work you hustle so hard for to be able to afford a happy life ends up being frustrating for you and being the thing that takes your life away. So when you look around you see many people who are alive but not actually living. Crazy stuff right? So what do you do about this...

Morning Coffee

Hello and Good morning everyone. How are you all doing. We are on a countdown people, we just have 2 days to go till the end of the month! Hope you are getting prepared for August!

You know what I dislike in life? Negativity!...Like I really hate people who are negative. I also dislike it when people hate on you without you actually knowing what you did to them. What's even worse than that is when you ask for an explanation and they don't provide it. Crazy stuff....Anyways, we can't let things like that hold us down can we? Let me tell you today that the most important thing is what's in your heart. Do you have a pure heart? Do you do the things you do for the best of reasons and without any intention of hurting anyone? If you do then just forget what people might think of you. People will always think negatively of you no matter how good you try to be. It doesn't stop you from being that good person you want to be. You just have to learn to ignore them, let them do what they can, believe what they want and act the way the want. The less attention you pay to their ignorance, the better for you...

Alright then time to swallow this coffee before it get's cold. Quickly people let's do this!...

Relationships aren't for the lonely

Did you know that the energy you bring into a relationship could make or break it?

I strongly believe that one of the mistakes that we make while making the decision of getting into a relationship is doing it because we are lonely. Most people only get into relationships to seek a person to complete them and fill the hole of emptiness they have in their life...note that I didn't say "heart" but their life as a whole. This occurs mostly with people who have just had a recent and possibly bad break up from someone they truly loved. You see it's different when you get into a relationship because your heart needs and is ready to be loved. That, on it's own is dangerous but not as bad as going in because you have a lonely life.

Let me explain better...

Funny Misheard Lyrics: Deuces

Lmao! A friend of mine was singing deuces by chris brown with his head phone blocking out the rest of the world when I heard this one. Frankly, I think this one just popped into my head and not actually what she was really singing. I swear with the voice she used you would have heard the same thing.

Still a beautiful track to listen to, any day and anytime. Enjoy the original song after the cut and don't forget to "Say baba". Lmao!

Morning Coffee

*inhales deeply*...You've  just gotta love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning. It just comes with this aroma that says "new opportunity to do it right". That is exactly what this morning is, it's an opportunity for you to correct the mistakes of yesterday. But before we dive into the topic of the morning which is about daily self improvement of course, let's give honor to whom honor is due....lol. Who started their debates in high school like that? Accurate time keeper and all that...

Good morning Fam! How is everyone doing this morning. Hope you all got the much needed rest after what I know must have been a hectic Monday. I've been thinking and you know, I feel It's really good that Mondays come with a rush. Regardless of the fact that we hate that sudden wake up call after a short rest from the weekend. It's that rush that gives us the boost we need to kick start the week.

Anyway, let's quickly down this morning coffee... Oh, did you notice I've started replying comments again. I'm awesome like that....Alright moving on

Monday Myth: Exercising in cold weather is counter productive

I've kind of neglected the fitness part of the blog for a while now. I guess most of the issues that people complain about comes from the love and relationship category so I tend to forget this part of the blog. Nevertheless, this remains a full part of the blog. We have to learn to take care of ourselves and be informed. I got a mail from a reader that asked questions based on fitness and I remembered this part of the blog. I then decided to make today's Monday Myth about fitness. I'll be tackling her question later in the day.

Today we are going to be talking about working out in cold weather conditions.

Music: Busta Rhymes Ft. Linkin Park - We made it

Hello Ladies and Gents. Who like rap music? Well, I do and most of my inspiration comes from listening to songs. I do not segregate, I can listen to any kind of music as long as it's good. I'm talking Rap, hip-hop, jazz, punk, metal, funk, rock, blues, R&B and it doesn't stop there...I can listen to it in any language at all. I don't even always have to understand what you are saying. I just love music. Alright enough about that.

Here is a son by Busta Rhymes featuring Linking Park titled "We made it". This is a song of sort of congratulations to everybody that came up from nothing to something. To those that made it by grinding really hard and going against the odds. You see there would always be critics trying to pull you down no matter what you do. However that's what makes the victory so much better. The victory wouldn't taste as sweet if there weren't set backs. As I said this is a song for those that made it through the hard times but I am putting this out here to hopefully inspire those who haven't made it to where they want to be. This is to let you know that there are people that made it and you are just like them. If you hustle hard enough you too will definitely make it.

Find the song and lyrics after the cut. You just gotta love Mike Shinoda's part!

Choose your life by yourself

Re post:

If you do not like your present background for any reason or where you are in life, then do not let it affect you or determine the outcome of your life. It should be the more reason why your should fight it instead of settle for it. It is easy to give in and allow your present location in life or where you come from determine the way you make your journey and your destination. But you have to learn to put up a fight in this life, a fight against circumstances, a fight against outcomes. If you do not like where you are, then why let it determine your destination and lead your way for you. You should be fighting to make a change and not giving in. Stop telling yourself that your situation is helpless and that because of who you are or how your family is or whatever other excuse you have made up in your head, that you cannot be in a certain place. Life is a constant struggle, an everyday struggle to make the next day a better one. If you do not like where you are right now then your struggle should be to change it.

The ideal time to get married

In this months polls, our debate is on how long it should take a man to propose to his girlfriend. That in other words means, the amount of time since they started dating that it should take the man ( or the woman even ) to propose marriage. So far only 6 people have been able to vote but from that alone I can see that majority of people would go for 6 months - 2 years after the couples first meeting to propose marriage. Well I have something to say about this because I personally do not agree...

I real feel that a couple should have dated for at least 3 - 5 years before entering that union. I know it seems like a lot of time but I have my own reasons and let me explain well to you guys.

Remember this is just the opinion of one man...

Music: See you again (Furious 7 sound track) Performed by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth

Been a while we put anything up on our music section on the blog. Do not worry guys, I haven't forgotten about it just yet. So! Where are my Fast and Furious Fans out there!!!?

Anyone that followed the series or at least loved Paul Walker from his other movies like life and death of bobby z, hours, into the blue (with Jessica Alba) and other movies would have felt the news of his death deeply. He was a brilliant actor and the main character of the Fast and Furious series to me. I know most say it's Vin Diesel but I still argue against that, Paul was there even in the parts that Vin Diesel wasn't present, he is the single character that appeared in all of them (except tokyo drift) so to me he was the main character.

The song "See you again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth was made in memory of Paul Walker. May his soul rest in peace.

So how many of you cried at the end of the movie? I think I like the way they ended Paul's role in the movie with respect for the character he played. Now if there is any other part to the movie, we can hopefully watch it with the memory that in the "Fast and Furious world",  Paul lives on somewhere in there.

R.I.P Paul walker (September 12th, 1973 - November 30th, 2013)

Enjoy the song and lyrics after the cut...

Morning Coffee

Hello and good morning everyone! This cup of coffee feels so strange in my hands. It's been a while since I prepared one on this blog. Oh well...the most important thing is that i'm back making coffees as grandpa Ralph right? I really missed you guys a lot and once again I apologize for my absence.
For those that have been trying to reach me. Well one of the issues I had, although a minor one compared to others is that I misplace my main phone and that is more serious than you might realize. You see my main phone contains all my business contacts. In my work place, your business contacts are as good as your salary and your I.D card combined together. It's just like a bank marketer loosing his/her clients...not very good, not good at all. So I misplaced the phone and immediately had to convert my AskRalph phone to my business phone and restore my contacts to that one. That meant wiping the AskRalph phone completely.  It took a while because the dude at the MTN office I went to is just a...lemme not say what I want to say for the sake of peace. He would get his when the time is right! Anyway the loss of the phone was just a tip of the iceberg but it definitely triggered the series of unfortunate events that landed me in the mess I am slowly trying to climb out of. Wiping my AskRalph phone meant loosing all my contacts but be rest assured that i'll be back as soon as possible on bbm and whatsapp. I have a backup of the contacts online. So bear with me for now okay?

Alright then, that was a lil detail on how it went down so that's that and now that i'm back here we can use the time to do what we do... Next post coming up in a jiffy...

Good morning fam!

Morning Coffee

Hello Everyone, i'm sure you guys would be wondering where Ralph ran off to. I am so sorry for leaving without saying a word. I actually didn't go anywhere but a whole lot has been going on in my personal life. It took over my whole time and as much as I wanted to come back each day and write a post at least, I just couldn't make out the time. I'm sure you guys understand, certain that are out of your control just happen and they consume your energy, time and other important things. I'm talking of those things that actually almost succeed in making you forget about the things you care about. If you even try to ping me or call my number you won't get through to me. That's how bad things are right now. Well...it's all getting better and things are falling in place now so from today or at least tomorrow, I should be blogging regularly again.

I deeply apologize for my absence. I know I have taken enough excuses from blogging but trust me this time, this one isn't flimsy.

To Forgive or To Forget

Hey everyone, so I just thought up a little fun game i'll like us to play. It's a simple game of making a simple choice and living with it's consequences. I might bring up more of these in the future if I figure out more interesting ways to do it but for today we are doing "To forgive or to Forget".

As I said it's really simple, all you have to do is pick one over the other but ready the conditions.

They didn't give up...

I know the struggle is real. As a matter of fact it's so real that it's push is almost felt physically if the pressure is too much. You might be going through a lot right now on your journey to self discovery and success. The urge to give up always comes with so much force that it almost always overwhelms us when it does. However we must continue on our path to success, you must gain victory at the end of the struggles. I want you to consider something today...

Hello and Good morning Everyone! Wishing you all a happy new week. I hope you are all prepared cos great things are bound to come your way today. This is that day of the week that you have to make a choice to either get up and muster up all the energy you need and get the day rolling or you stay back, relax and take the day slow, maybe even do nothing. At the end of the day the consequences of the choice you make would be all up to you and you alone would bear it. At the end of the day, those great things that I just promised you would be either yours or not based on the choice you make this morning.

What's it going to be for you?

Friday Fact: Boris Kodjoe

Today's Friday Fact is on someone most of us know from what we have seen on our screens, from the movies and the adverts he has starred in. Boris Kodjoe is a talented actor that has appeared in many different movies but we would mostly remember him from the 2000 movie titled "Love and Basketball". I'm sure most of you have seen that movie. A real classic and for some reason I can't even believe that it's as recent as 15 years ago.

What we didn't know was what he was doing before he got to acting and modelling.

Honestly I hate putting up two morning coffee's at the same time, it makes me look like a coffee addict which I totally am not. Oh well...

Good morning Fam How is you all doing this morning?!! Okay...If you are on a PC you might have noticed and if you are on a phone you can switch to a web view and see what i'm talking about.... I have taken down the  "How to win AskRalph blog  giveaways page". I think we all know why so...that's that. When giveaways come up i'll determine how to do get the winners at that point. The Top contributors list won't be used for determining giveaways. It would simply be for those that just love contributing. I planned on taking it down also but I love the way it looks. I might take it down later. I don't know, i'll just go with what I feel is best.

Alright then Moving on....

Let's Rant!

Morning Coffee

Hey everyone! Top of the morning to you all. I got to work this morning and had very little to do. When I finally opened my laptop to type this post, some evil spirit convinced me to open up my Facebook account so that was exactly what I did. I obeyed that tiny little voice, thought hard for my Facebook password, logged in and met the cobwebs on my Facebook wall. It's been ages I went there! I scrolled through the timeline and saw a bunch of funny videos that almost kept me from typing any post at all this morning. Among those videos was one done by a group of people called "wowo boys". The video was on cooking blunders and how Igbo men react to them.

Morning Coffee

Good morning Fam! How is everyone doing this Wednesday morning. It's been 7 days into this month and I haven't been able to put up any monthly polls. So here is what i'm going to do....well I was going to type that i'll just think out any random thing and post as the polls just to keep it going till I think out something more educative and put up the following month but an idea just popped into my head and I think that's what i'll go with. I'll be revealing it in my post later in the day.

For those of you who don't understand how I could just switch from having no clue of what I was about to type to having an idea immediately while still typing, well that's the morning coffee column for you. This is where I type randomly, quickly and let out anything in my mind. It's sort of a preparation and a mental detox for me that prepares me for the day. On the comment column below you have the opportunity to rant randomly on anything. It doesn't even have to concern any topic that I have brought up, you can just bring up your own and we would all talk about it randomly. Don't get confused when someone answers your random question with a pointless answer with no relation to what you have asked though. It's the Morning coffee, we just woke up and we are still trying to wrap our minds around the reality in front of us.

Let's Rant More!

Monthly Focus: Patience

Hello guys, this months focus came quite late but better late than never right? I had a hard time concluding on what the months focus should be and I have finally decided on something. Thanks a lot for all your suggestions earlier, some of them helped me come to the conclusion. This Month I would like us to Focus on Patience!

Let's talk very briefly on the topic....

Monday Myth: Wet dreams

I have come again with my Monday myth and it's still about the naughty side of life. Don't complain my people, this is a very interesting side of life and knowledge about these things is very important. Regardless of the fact that you might frown on it, you might need this knowledge someday or just for the fun of knowing it. So are you ready?

Alright so the Monday Myth today is on if it's only men that have "wet dreams". My answer to this is a complete NO! and I think the ladies in the house, if not too shy to speak up would very much agree with me.

Morning Coffee

Happy Monday to you all. Happy new week and Happy new opportunities. How is everyone doing this morning?

You know I still have no idea why we have to wake up every morning and go spend energy working just to achieve great things and success. I still don't understand why there is no food for lazy men like me. So we are now forced to work and work to earn a paper that we exchange for food. Civilization screwed us big time. However thinking again, without civilization i'll have to go out and hunt lions...Wow! Alright I appreciate my job right now and i'm going to face it seriously right now..

Let's rant small....well you guys can rant. I'll just drop some inspiration based on "Sabali"

Take your time

Good morning Fam. Something funny happened to me yesterday. It kind of got me thinking of something I would like to talk to you guys about.

Yesterday I sat in front of my pc, logged on to my blogger and just blanked out. Didn't have a clue what to write on yesterday, I started typing randomly but by the time I was done and read through, I had typed total rubbish so I simply closed my laptop and carried on with my day like the blog didn't exist. I was experiencing some serious writers block. You know, I feel that anything worth doing is worth doing well. I love writing so much that instead of me putting up something that is worse than my worst I'll rather just close my laptop and carry on with the rest of my day.

Midpoint of the year

Hey guys, just a crazy fact I read up earlier. This very point being 12 noon is the exact moment that's the middle of this year. Think of it, we have 365 days in this year. Today is the 183rd day of the year and is the middle because it has 182 days in front and 182 days behind it. So that makes 12 noon of today the mid point of this year. Crazy stuff huh? I for one am just glad to be alive at this point and at this very moment.

It's time to make a wish for the year. I simply wish for success and happiness. What of you?

Morning Coffee

Hello and good morning everyone. I had to run away quickly after my second post yesterday and I couldn't return until late at night. Crazy start to my month but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I have found that if I get a jump on my very first day of the month I tend to have a more active month. However if I have a slow start to the month then I tend to have a more relaxing month with little achieved at the end. I think I should have waited till this month for us to focus on the kin' hard work and dedication.

Toni Tones is ever so stylish in Viv la resistance.

The celebrity photographer, artist, actress and ever the fashionista, attended the Kamdora women's networking event this weekend looking stunning and ever so stylish in this neon lace kimono from Nigerian fashion label fashion viv la resistance, paired minimally with a black camisole, black ripped jeans, aviators and a bold purple lip. She completed the look with the lovely straight hair she's been rocking lately. She looks gorgeous.

She is absolutely slaying this look. More pics after the cut
