Tuesday Tip: Benefits of Working out in cold weather




Here I am again, trying to bore you all to your grave with my workout advice. Anyway you don't have a choice, this is good for you. The good things in life come for free and that's why they are boring. So just read this one up real quick okay?

Today it's about the benefits of working out in the cold weather. I promised you guys that i'll tackle this today, i'm here to keep to that promise. After this you would most likely wait till winter before you start working out.

As I mentioned yesterday, so many people run away from exercising in the cold weather because they feel it's counter productive. This couldn't be farther from the truth than it already is. Working out in cold weather is actually really good for you. They say that summer bodies are earned in the winter and this is true for a reason, below are a few of the many benefits you can get from working out in the winter that would help you get that summer body that you are looking for.




  • Your body works harder during the cold weather for reasons ranging from psychological reasons to physical reason. Because of how harder your body works you will end up actually burning more calories when compared to the same amount of work done in the hot weather.
  • As your body works harder, so will your heart and the harder in order to distribute blood to the entire body. This strengthens the heart. However consult with your doctor for this because an unhealthy heart could suffer injuries when pushed too hard.
  • They say practice makes perfect right? Well with an increased level of work on the body, your body is bound to develop and adjust which in turn will help you build more stamina and endurance than you would while doing the same workout for the same amount of time in a hot weather
  • When you workout more in the cold weather you will naturally build a tolerance for the cold temperature. Also the warm blood circulating around your body would also help you against the cold element


The weather has been really cold lately so that's why I have chosen to write on the benefits of working out in the cold weather. You shouldn't have any excuses so go out and get that workout. Think of these. These are only four benefits but they are bonuses actually. These four bonuses are an addition to the all the other loads of benefits that come with exercising. Exercise in this cold weather to get ahead of your fitness schedule with these added benefits. You can't go wrong here. That cardio is good for you so go out, workout and get that heart rate up.

Finally Note that the healthy way to get your heart rate up is gradually and not instantly. Getting your heart rate up gradually is done by exercising and the benefits are countless. Getting it up suddenly and instantly can lead to a stroke and one way you can get it up instantly is by getting caught cheating...That can cause a heart attack. Lol
