Monday Myth: Exercising in cold weather is counter productive

I've kind of neglected the fitness part of the blog for a while now. I guess most of the issues that people complain about comes from the love and relationship category so I tend to forget this part of the blog. Nevertheless, this remains a full part of the blog. We have to learn to take care of ourselves and be informed. I got a mail from a reader that asked questions based on fitness and I remembered this part of the blog. I then decided to make today's Monday Myth about fitness. I'll be tackling her question later in the day.

Today we are going to be talking about working out in cold weather conditions.

Friday Fact: Boris Kodjoe

Today's Friday Fact is on someone most of us know from what we have seen on our screens, from the movies and the adverts he has starred in. Boris Kodjoe is a talented actor that has appeared in many different movies but we would mostly remember him from the 2000 movie titled "Love and Basketball". I'm sure most of you have seen that movie. A real classic and for some reason I can't even believe that it's as recent as 15 years ago.

What we didn't know was what he was doing before he got to acting and modelling.

Monday Myth: Wet dreams

I have come again with my Monday myth and it's still about the naughty side of life. Don't complain my people, this is a very interesting side of life and knowledge about these things is very important. Regardless of the fact that you might frown on it, you might need this knowledge someday or just for the fun of knowing it. So are you ready?

Alright so the Monday Myth today is on if it's only men that have "wet dreams". My answer to this is a complete NO! and I think the ladies in the house, if not too shy to speak up would very much agree with me.

Midpoint of the year

Hey guys, just a crazy fact I read up earlier. This very point being 12 noon is the exact moment that's the middle of this year. Think of it, we have 365 days in this year. Today is the 183rd day of the year and is the middle because it has 182 days in front and 182 days behind it. So that makes 12 noon of today the mid point of this year. Crazy stuff huh? I for one am just glad to be alive at this point and at this very moment.

It's time to make a wish for the year. I simply wish for success and happiness. What of you?

Do Relationships work like magnets?

Remember your physics and chemistry lessons? I think if you had a 'not-so-naughty' upbringing, then those classes would have been the first place you heard the saying that 'opposites attract'. It's only after we grew a little more and started opening our eyes to the boy-girl relationships part of life that we started relating that saying to our love life also. Now i'm very sure you have also heard the saying that people with opposite characters tend to stick together more than lovers with too many similarities. For example a cool headed guy would most likely end up with a hot headed girl and a quiet person would most likely fall for a very chatty person. But how true do you feel this is? Is it always true that you have to seek out your opposite to be sure of a happy and long lasting relationship? What are your thoughts?. I'll tell you what I feel first...

Monday Myth: STI's are for players and cheaters only

Hello again everyone! I have to say it still feels really good to be back. While I was out on my, should I call it sabbatical leave? Well...I had the chance to hangout a couple of times with the peeps from the office and as usual, I got to learn a whole lot of things from people. The way people generally think, their ideologies and the way they perceive things. I am going to be spreading these things I learnt during this break through my Myths, facts and Tips as the weeks go by. So today we are starting with if STI (s3xually transmitted infections) are for Player and cheaters only.

Friday Fact: Infidelity is by person not gender

We have heard it over and over again. The argument is always going on and on, it also seems like it is never going to be concluded. The question is who cheats more between men and women. I have seen it a million times and heard it from the mouths of people. Either they are saying "It is in the nature of men to cheat" or "Women cheat more, it's just that they are more careful about it". At the end of it all we still haven't concluded on who cheats more, of cos everyone would fight for their own gender. However I want to clear up a little fact and maybe give you guys a different way to look at things.

Have you ever come across this saying.... "A wedding ring is the small handcuff ever...so choose your cell mate wisely and sentence yourself carefully". Yeah I bet if you have been on any social media for the past year or so then you must have seen it once or twice. Well this isn't the truth. We are going to be debunking this one today.

So today I am going to teach you guys a very simple but not easy to remember tip I use to keep my abs in check even when I am not always exercising...

Friday Fact: Water is the better choice

Yeah you read that right...Water is the better choice because it has no calories at all. None! Nada! Nil! Zero! I know you might doubt this if you have climbed a scale after drinking water. The only reason you might get heavier when you climb a scale after drinking only water isn't because you have added body fat or muscle mass. It's simply water weight and once you sweat or pee, it'll all be gone. That one is easier to loose than calories.

In the world of fitness, weight gain and weight loss. The number of calories you consume everyday plays a big role. It could be the difference between maintaining your desired weight, having a higher or having a lower weight than desired.

Tuesday Tip: Get your figure back after child birth

As a lady, do you have a naturally slim physique? Are you one of those lucky people that never have to workout or go on any kind of diet to look good or loose weight? If your answers are yes then fine...let's move on. Do you have that fear of losing your shape or your body being stretched out of the usual shape and never returning after you go through the physical changes of child birth? Yeah I know!...lots of women have this fear and it is very understandable. However I have a solution to this, I actually sat down with someone a couple of years back and she explained to me how this works.

The solution to this is actually simply, the answer is EXERCISE. But before you start complaining of how I won't shut up about exercising let me just explain...lol.

And even if you don't have the natural slim physique this will still help you.
