Music and Lyrics: Patoranking ft Wande Coal - My woman (my everything)

Still in the spirit of TGIF I have selected this song that has been all over the airwaves in Nigeria and in Africa. You can't walk into any joint and sit for 30 mins without this song being played and when it come up you can't help but to 'Shoki' your way into the dance floor. I specifically remember a man that was 'shoki-ing' his way into the dance floor with a fluid abdominal motion...Very funny dance step. Anyway back to the song.  What is better than a good song, by 2 good artist, sending out a good message and to top it all up, it happens to be in the only genre that majority of Nigerians appreciate...Dance! A gift from these 2 artists to us is what I see.

Esit challenged me the last time I put up lyrics and I decided to write the lyrics to this one by myself instead of copying it from another website. I discovered most of the other sites make mistakes in the lyrics so I decided to try my luck and see how It would be. So compare the lyrics and the audio and feel free to correct my mistakes. I can as well make my own mistakes than copy and past theirs right? If only patoranking could just hand me his book of rhymes this would be much easier. Deciphering his patois was not easy at all and I know I didn't get it all but I fell it's still better than what I saw on other sites though.

So here it is. My woman by Patoranking and Wande Coal Find the Audio and Lyrics (lyrics written by me) after the cut

Oh and am I the only one that looks out for the fair girl that looks half cast dancing in the video each time it shows on TV. The girl was the life of the video. Lol...

Music - Rihanna/Kanye West/Paul McCartney - Four Five Seconds (reggae remix)

Here is a little something to get your soul lifted this morning. Well the tune actually is good to get you lifted, I don't know how you will react to the words but nonetheless It's very good music. This is the original song "Four Five Seconds" performed by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney, however it has a reggae vibe to it. It was remixed and some reggae instrumentals made it more lively than the original Tune. Not like we didn't enjoy the original one but this remix gives you a little more push if you know what I mean. If not just listen to the song and you'll understand better when your head starts nodding or when you start imitating a typical Rastafarian's dance step.

The song has really nice lyrics and come to think of it, today is the perfect day to play this one seeing that we actually have "just 3 more days to Friday" as the song goes.

Well enough of me, listen to the tune after the cut and learn the song via the lyrics which you'll also catch after the cut.

Funny Misheard Lyrics: Deuces

Lmao! A friend of mine was singing deuces by chris brown with his head phone blocking out the rest of the world when I heard this one. Frankly, I think this one just popped into my head and not actually what she was really singing. I swear with the voice she used you would have heard the same thing.

Still a beautiful track to listen to, any day and anytime. Enjoy the original song after the cut and don't forget to "Say baba". Lmao!

Music: Busta Rhymes Ft. Linkin Park - We made it

Hello Ladies and Gents. Who like rap music? Well, I do and most of my inspiration comes from listening to songs. I do not segregate, I can listen to any kind of music as long as it's good. I'm talking Rap, hip-hop, jazz, punk, metal, funk, rock, blues, R&B and it doesn't stop there...I can listen to it in any language at all. I don't even always have to understand what you are saying. I just love music. Alright enough about that.

Here is a son by Busta Rhymes featuring Linking Park titled "We made it". This is a song of sort of congratulations to everybody that came up from nothing to something. To those that made it by grinding really hard and going against the odds. You see there would always be critics trying to pull you down no matter what you do. However that's what makes the victory so much better. The victory wouldn't taste as sweet if there weren't set backs. As I said this is a song for those that made it through the hard times but I am putting this out here to hopefully inspire those who haven't made it to where they want to be. This is to let you know that there are people that made it and you are just like them. If you hustle hard enough you too will definitely make it.

Find the song and lyrics after the cut. You just gotta love Mike Shinoda's part!

Music: See you again (Furious 7 sound track) Performed by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth

Been a while we put anything up on our music section on the blog. Do not worry guys, I haven't forgotten about it just yet. So! Where are my Fast and Furious Fans out there!!!?

Anyone that followed the series or at least loved Paul Walker from his other movies like life and death of bobby z, hours, into the blue (with Jessica Alba) and other movies would have felt the news of his death deeply. He was a brilliant actor and the main character of the Fast and Furious series to me. I know most say it's Vin Diesel but I still argue against that, Paul was there even in the parts that Vin Diesel wasn't present, he is the single character that appeared in all of them (except tokyo drift) so to me he was the main character.

The song "See you again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth was made in memory of Paul Walker. May his soul rest in peace.

So how many of you cried at the end of the movie? I think I like the way they ended Paul's role in the movie with respect for the character he played. Now if there is any other part to the movie, we can hopefully watch it with the memory that in the "Fast and Furious world",  Paul lives on somewhere in there.

Music: Baby Face ft Desiree - Fire

Wow...This song brings back memories. Memories f the good times and of good music. When we had music that was sang straight from the heart and artists that are present day Legends. This is a real classic tune and I don't know if any of you would know it but you should because it's as recent as 1998.

The song "Fire" Tells a story of two lover in denial of their love for each other. They know how much they love each other and want to be intimate but yet they try hard to resist. They try to stay away and say that they don't want to be together however they always fail in their resistance. It is told mostly from the perspective of the lady with Desiree being the voice of the lady and Baby face supporting and playing the man.

This is a classic and I though you guys would use it to step down the mood this afternoon to a cool one. I also have the lyrics below. So get the song and lyrics right after the cut.

Michael Jackson

I can't believe it's been 6 years already since a true Legend left us. Look into those eyes and listen to that man's music. You would hear the true voice of passion. You would understand what it means for a person to be truly in love with what they do and to do what they love straight from the heart.

on 25th June 2009 Michael Jackson Passed away and the world would remember him for generations to come. A King even in his absence.

Music: Wizkid ft Femi Kuti Jaiye Jaiye

It might be an old song as far back as two years ago but I just thought to refresh your memories again with this nice tune from our very own wizkid. The good thing about music, especially good music is that it never gets too old. You can listen to any good music no matter if it's as old as man himself or as recent as this post.

Wizkid featured Femi Kuti a legendary and Iconic musician in the face of the Nigerian Music Industry and wide. He is a son to an even bigger legend by the name of Fela Kuti. This song is said to be a tribute to him.

Music: 2face Idibia: Dance in the Rain

Let's take it back to our home country Nigeria for the 2nd Musical entry on this blog. Honestly speaking this should have been my first, I should have started from this song and from this artist. I mean it just fits in for all the right reasons that I don't even want to get started mentioning. This man right here is a light of inspiration that shines bright for the young and old. His music is not just good to the body, it reaches to the mind and whispers a lesson or more.

This song "Dance in the Rain" has also been the inspiration to a couple of posts that I have put up previously. It was the Inspiration to our Focus of April which was appreciation. In this song he simply talks about not getting worked up over tomorrow. He talks about you not ruining today simply because you are worried about what tomorrow will bring. He also talks about being appreciative of the simple things that life has to offer you.

Funny Misheard Lyrics

Lmao! I decided to add a funny part to the music section. I am going to name this segment Funny Misheard Lyrics.

As I tour the world I am going to haunt down people that hear the wrong thing in songs and sing it out loud with all the passion in their hearts. We had an Alicia keys Misheard lyrics before. I copied that one from the net but I decided to start making my own memes instead with both local and foreign music.

Music: India Arie Ft Akon - I am not my Hair

+esit  has succeeded in pushing me to start the Music section of the blog ahead of it's time. You people should blame her o! I tried my best to hold back for a while but she keeps calling me out on this one. Well I went ahead and still decided on an inspirational song against her will. heheheh.  It doesn't mean we won't have senseless music with no particular message or just a feel good music with no meaning every once in a while...of cos we will have all that. This is just done to annoy Esit a little further. Lol...

So y'all ready?
