Stay Detrmined

   Determination...The power needed to achieve even when your goal seems far from your grasp.
   

     At one of the places I worked in the past, there used to be a colleague of mine. A friendly and jolly fellow who wouldn't keep quiet about he's love for cars and big toys. One day I traveled on some business and came back a couple of days later but he wasn't around. I hardly noticed and days went by fine until I was pushed to ask my colleagues about him. Everybody said that he left work the previous day but wasn't seen from the next day.
We couldn't verify the problem since we didn't know he's house or much about him apart from what he cared to share.
      Fast forward to about two years later and we saw him pull up in a car. We all stared at him as he dropped he's crutches and pulled out he's wheel chair, dragged himself up and sat on it. And with a smile on he's face obviously knowing that we were surprised at he's sudden appearance and condition he greeted us. He narrated everything to us and it happened to be that on he's way home that day we say him last he got knocked over by a car and was crippled in the accident. He told us of how he is still able to drive by using he's crutches and how he's arms work very well but told us that he couldn't continue in our work as he was physically incapable. He had gotten another job for now and was determined to keep climbing. He still dreams of making it big in life and he has been doing good at he's new work place and says he is trusted at times to even drive he's boss, he say's he earns some extra good pay also. He is still determined to buy and drive a particular car ( the name has skipped my mind) regardless of he's condition.
   

   Determination is very essential in anything you do with purpose of succeeding. You have to push for what you want and stay focused on achieving it to be able to pull through. I know that most of you know the song "make it hot" by Rasheeda and Akon, where Akon was still just taking the chorus. It was determination that kept him pushing until he got to make he's first album and grow from there. It was determination that pushed wizkid from singing the chorus of "fast money fast cars" in M.I's first album to where he is now. All the great minds and business people of the world like Dangote, Innoson, Louis Carter, +Richard Branson , +Oprah Winfrey , +Mark Zuckerberg  and many more never made it this far in life without determination. Above is the picture of an archer. A man that makes he's living from shooting arrows as a sport. He lost he's arms but through determination, he found another way to do what he does best and now he is participating in the paralympics and carrying on with he's dreams.
 
     That spirit to say to yourself that no matter what obstacle that is in front of you, that you can keep going. Putting your mind in what you do and staying focused all through the challenges.


.....Looking back at last Friday I can also say that it was absolutely nothing but determination that helped me find my way home after having that much beer...Lol (Drink responsibly)
