Q & A : Nobody cares

Mr Best: Please don't wake up thinking anyone cares about you! Nobody does! NOBODY! People only care for what they can gain from you.
      This message which preaches that nobody cares was criticized by almost all my friends. Before you start with it let me remind you that no matter how much your friends claim to care, they cannot wish they have your problems. And also to every general rule, there are a few exceptions. Your thoughts...?

Ralph: I must disagree with you for saying that "nobody" cares. It is true that most people wouldn't wish your sufferings on themselves but you cannot exactly say that because of that, that they do not care for you. A friend might not want to be put in place of your sufferings seeing the amount pain and hurt you are going through and dreading being in that position, but as long as he/she at least wishes that you were not going through that and offers any kind of aid to help you get over your problems then I believe that they are doing enough already. That in my books is already enough to show care.
      Now if your reason for thinking this way is that you picture and compare it with parental care. Remember that parental and family love might be greater because of the closer bond you share. You know that if you are going through a serious turmoil, a parent wouldn't mind taking all your burden and placing it on themselves if it were possible. So it isn't news that a true family bond remains stronger than that of friendship.  But the bond of friendship is different, the way I see it your friend can stand beside you through anything you are going through and lend you all their support but doesn't necessarily have to die for you to prove loyalty. There are people out there, friends and people I know that would give anything to ease or totally eliminate their pals burden even if it meant taking some of it upon themselves. So before you judge a friend for not wishing your problems on themselves, ask yourself if you would wish he's own problems on yourself and if you would truly be comfortable seeing your friend passing through what you are passing through knowing that you were the person that wished it on them.

Friendship is real and there are people out there who do care, maybe not Everybody cares but surely not Nobody either....
