Stress




   We experience stress in certain points of our life, it's just a natural and physical reaction to situations of danger and any other condition that will get you uncomfortable. It is the body's own way of protecting you. Stress could get you into a state of panic and disorder but when you learn how to manage it you will see that it could also be a good thing cos it can kick your body into a state of high alertness and response. You just need to learn how to recognize it when it is happening, accept it and use it for your own good.

    One of the worst things you can do is trying to get used to stress as your everyday lifestyle, at a point it does get out of hand and you should be able to detect when your stress levels are raging out of control. The problems you are facing today in your home, at work or with friends could be simply due to your lack of knowledge about your body's response to stress and it could also affect your health both physically and psychologically.
   Symptoms could be anything from blanking out in thought, anxiousness, lack of judgement , pessimism or even a change in your feeding habit. If you exhibit any behaviour out of the ordinary you should stop and assess yourself to know if your stress levels are shooting up.  Learn how to control your stress level with as little as a stress ball

   A simple stress ball could help more than you think, it work like a massage that you are giving to yourself and in addition you could concentrate on the repetitive movement of constantly squeezing on the ball and it would take your mind away. Some people envision their problems on the ball and try to destroy it with the motion, it generally helps to take your mind away from what was causing your tension.Set a target number of times you want to squeeze the ball in a limited time and work on it, you will be amazed at how far off it will take your mind. An added bonus is you get in some workout on your palm muscles. You could also look into getting a proper massage or going on a vacation to take your mind off things if you can afford it, remember a vacation doesn't have to be abroad, it could be a visit to a family members house, the aim is just to get away from your present environment.
   Try to avoid unnecessary stress also. Yes not all stress can be avoided but learn to avoid the ones that aren't helping you in anyway. You need to also learn to accept that certain things and situations in life cannot be changed and stop worrying yourself too much about those, no matter how much you get worked up you still won't be able to do anything about it. Finally get plenty of night rest and eat healthily.
