Dear Ralph: I'm a skinny fat person

Hello Ralph, I came across your blog posts on facebook and wanted to know if you can help with this problem, hope you don't mind me remaining anonymous. I have been on a diet for some time now and I have shed some weight which I am quite happy about, but then now I am skinny but my stomach is still big, how do I deal with that?


  Good day to you anonymous, I would take it that you have been on a diet without exercising for as long as you started. You have to try and introduce some weight training and strength exercises to your program. It also depends on what you call a diet, don't eat once a day as a diet or eat only salads, as I said in one of my older posts every class of food is important in its own way, just try to cut down on your carbohydrates intake and eat more of lean protein. Correct your eating habits and do lots of exercising, you want to be physically fit and not just skinny. Make sure that any fluid that goes into your mouth is water, don't drink your calories instead eat them, you should also try to put omega 3 fat rich foods into your diet. Then eat more of protein, they would help in your muscle development a lot. Let me know how your progress is over time. And please once again I urge you to eat good and exercise well, that is the best combination to healthy living.
