Dear Ralph: My friends Kid brother already has a Girlfriend

Dear Ralph,
                I have a friend who stays with her little brother within the school environment. Early this morning she called me to go over to her place and find out what was wrong with his phone because he wasn't picking he's calls. Since it was too early and I couldn't leave the hostel, I called her neighbor to find out about him because my friend actually traveled and left him all alone. The neighbor later called me to tell me that the little boy gave his phone to he's supposed girlfriend because he didn't want her to get a phone from the other guy that is struggling for her with him. The boy is just 15 and I don't know if I should tell my friend because the neighbor has been telling me bad stuffs about the boy.

                   I think you should call your friend up first and inform her that her brother is safe, since she traveled tell her that you would like to discuss something with her when she comes back, Then on her return you should let her know what you have been hearing about her brother, but do not say it in a bid to "report" or accuse the boy, state it casually so she doesn't use anger on him. It is her brother and she is responsible for him so she deserves to know, this is a young teen who at this age most likely wants to explore a lot more and coupled with him living in an adult environment you can say that this was quit inevitable. But this is only a phase in he's life, it will definitely pass, he needs more of guidance and direction from someone close to him so let her be that person.

     And some more advice for your friend. Tell your friend to calmly call her brother and be open to him, let her talk with him so he can open up also to her that way she can help him a lot more. Remind her that she shouldn't be quick to anger with him at this he's rebellious stage(if he exhibits such traits) if not she might risk him blocking her out and going ahead to do what he wants behind her and she wouldn't want that trust me, instead let her pull him close, get to know him more and she would stand a better chance at guiding him.
