True passion

       I always talk about persistence and determination when speaking to people and trying to inspire them to keep pushing for what they want. But I can never overestimate the importance of true passion. The true love and appreciation in actually doing what you really genuinely love doing. I just have to share with you all a particular song that really taught me a lot, from the lyrical contents to the displays on the video. The song is called "Remember the name" by Fort Minor.

       This song is about pushing hard in your struggle and never giving up even when you keep failing. It's about people that never gave up and kept giving their best in what they love doing. People who do what they do not because of the money but just for the love it. True passion I believe doesn't rely on the will to keep pushing because how much you will or might make from doing what you decide to do. True passion's reward is the joy you feel inside of you simply from the satisfaction of perfecting that which you have a pure unadulterated interest in.
     The chorus of the song, just in case you didn't get it goes like this. "This is 10 % luck, 20% skill, 15% percent concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain and a 100% reason to remember the name. This to me sums up everything about what you have to endure to achieve your goals under the worst circumstances. It just shows what you have to be willing to give to perfect your act. And without being truly passionate about it you can never have the patience it takes to perfect it.

    The legendary King of pop Michael Jackson was a man that had true passion for what he loved doing. If you haven't listened to he's songs recently I would recommend you go back and just listen to some of them one more time. Have you noticed that he hardly says much in he's songs, especially the first ones from when he started out he's solo career. But with the few he says you can almost feel he's energy present with you, you can feel he's efforts and he's passion right there in the song and dance. If he wants you to sing along you will definitely sing along with him and if he wants you to get up and dance you can't help but to just want to move your body, you would at least tap your feet to rhythm of he's tune or shake your head to it. That is the power of true passion. When you are genuinely and purely interested in a particular thing,without any extra interest attached to it apart from the sole reason of just doing it because you enjoy it, people around you would be able to recognize you and differentiate you from every other person.
    Look at our nigerian musician 2 face, that is a man with true passion for what he does. Yes when he jokes around you would know that he intends to play and even regardless of that you still feel him through the words in he's song. And when he means to sing about something serious and really reach out to you, you can almost feel him talking directly to you.

So what is my definition of true passion you ask? I would say that it is working very hard on what you love doing without for a second thinking of a personal reward apart from the joy of seeing perfection in that which you love so much just like I have stated before.
