Dear Ralph: How do I stay Intrested

        I am 21 and throughout my life I've been having difficulties having a girlfriend. I get girls sometimes but whenever I collect the digits I don't always advance in calling because I just loose interest. I also tend to back off whenever I see or hear about other 'chykers' that she has. Right now I am into 1 girl in my department in school, but i'm just there like am helping her out understand some things and being a teacher to her cos am higher than her in level and I have passed through all those courses. I teach her but I don't know how to collect her digits and when I collect it I finally loose interest in calling and will want to remain just friends

          You need to start by tracing out what causes you to loose interest quickly in a girl It could be from a number of causes. Maybe getting their digits too easily or too difficultly, it could be that when you finally get the digits the girls you meet aren't as interesting anymore. Either ways we need to work together and trace the root of the problem.

     As for the girl having other guys on her and you letting it discourage you, you should understand that no matter what, there would always be other guys asking her out, it isn't her fault so you shouldn't back away from a little competition. If she chooses you then you shouldn't be worried and you would take satisfaction in the fact that you were chosen out of a number of other men, believe me you will feel good about it so stop backing down.  

    It is as simple as asking her for her number next time you tutor her, yes I know its easier said and done but you just have to do it. And if you do not want to be direct it is fine you can slowly circle around your real interest until you finally let it out. But don't stay circling for too long because you are sending the wrong message to her by presenting yourself as just a tutor. You risk her seeing you in a different way than you want and if it drags on for too long she might never be able to look at you and accept you as more than a friend. 

Make a step now and believe me even in rejection you will be happy that you got your feelings off your chest. As I said before let us work on the root of the problem that causes your easy loss of interest in a girl. Hope to hear from you soon...
