Tuesday Tip:Keep proper form while exercising

To get the results of your workout quicker and better you would have to learn to imitate the right position when doing a particular exercise. You cant afford to see great results with lazy efforts. Keeping perfect form could be the difference between working your targeted muscle, working an entirely different muscle group or not getting in any work at all.



          Let's briefly look at a push ups for example, naturally when doing this you are targeting your chests and you arms, try to keep your shoulders,elbows and wrists in line all the time and your legs stretched out till you are on your toes and you body is inclined, from there push straight down till your chest meets the floor, don't just let gravity take you down you need to push down,your elbows should  bend at the joint and point outwards now. Also keep your core muscles squeezed but don't use them to ease the work from your hands, try as much as possible to eliminate the rocking of your hips and breathe through the entire exercise. Now the slightest alteration to this form described could have you working an entirely different muscle like adding a knee lift to work your obliques, or you could be doing nothing at all if the form is too bad. So if you are working with a professional then listen attentively to he's/her cues and if you are working alone then get the correct information on how to perform a particular workout. Its better to do 10 push-ups with perfect form than to do 30 haphazardly.
