Men are allowed to have pot belly and not women?

Good morning ma peoples! How are you all doing this morning. I'm busy warming up for the coming elections since it's like a mini holiday for me. So who are you going to be voting in your state?
Now before I move on to my topic of discussion for the day, which of cos is a very juicy yet confusing one I want to say a big congrats to Esit. Esit passed her medical exams and is now a medicine!!!...sorry doctor!!!. Big congrats to you Esit. Now the AskRalph family has an official doctor, I declare free medical diagnosis through Esit for everyone. Don't worry we will make her do it whether she likes it or not. Alright then on to the main event....

So yesterday evening I had a sit out with some of my friends and a discussion came up that I decided to share here. First of all, I just want to say that I am no fan of pot belly, be you a Man or a Woman. I personally feel everyone has a responsibility to take care of their body. Now here is what went down...

While we were out, a lady that was rather on the big side walked into the lounge where we were with a rather thin man. They were walking hand in hand and it was obvious that they were a couple. We all observed the difference in size o! Nobody said anything at first but Uju just had to say something to strike up the conversation. She was like "nawa o! so this is the work this man has to do every night, what if she decides to be be on top, how the man go manage?". At an almost organized and uniform second glance at the table where the couple was, we all started laughing. Uju just knows how to slip in the worst of comments in the worst of ways in different situations. Now at a point while we were still laughing, Uju then turned and faced Tunde and asked him while he was laughing. He paused in the middle of the laugh with the amusement still stuck on his face but mixed with confusion in his eyes at the question. He then said "No be you crack joke?".  She scanned him from head to toe then responded with "so if others laugh you go follow laugh abi?" I already knew where this was headed and I was fighting hard to hold back my laughter. His face was filled with a puzzled expression at her statement and I guess she noticed it because she didn't wait for him to say anything before she added "you don look your belle for mirror before? you just dey open teeth dey laugh when your own bad pass". At this point I couldn't hold the laughter again., the laughter broke out of my lungs. Tunde looked at me and the expression on his face only made me erupt into another round of laughter. He then made a statement saying.

"Well at least I am a man, I am allowed to have pot belly. No woman is allowed to walk around with her stomach like that. Women should learn how to take care of their body. I am a man and as long as I have money to take care of the woman, that is all that matters. There is a differences when it comes to us men"

At this point Tunde hadn't realized it, or maybe he did and actually spoke to provoke Uju but at that point he had awoken the beast in her. Immediately she responded with "Meaning What?!" I pulled my seat backwards to allow them to finish themselves. Also I wanted to make room so I could laugh and roll on the floor if I wished.
They kept going back and fort with different points as to why a Man should or shouldn't take care of his body. Uju attacked with how it was even the lady who shouldn't bother about her physical appearance and how the man should look good enough to keep his lady or he will loose her. Tunde maintained his stance that he had money therefore he didn't need to workout and impress anybody. Also that a lady that wasn't physically appealing didn't have any chance at getting or keeping a man. That if she managed to get him due to some qualities she possessed, he would still cheat on her even if she was good on bed.

The argument dragged on for a while, I was just sitting and observing them and of cos adding fuel to the fire each time I saw the argument coming to an end. So as I observed I got to understand that Tunde actually believed that men generally shouldn't bother with looks as long as their pockets look good. It really got me thinking if my own belief was the correct one. You see personally I feel everyone should take care of their body, be you man or woman.

So here are my questions:

  1. Between a man and a woman, who should workout more
  2. Who would get away with neglecting their physical look between men and women
  3. If a person is good in bed but isn't physically attractive, would it still lead to cheating? I mean isn't cheating all about the s3x. Does it have to do with looks?
  4. Is a big stomach truly the sign of a good and healthy living?
  5. Oh and of cos, who will you vote for in your state election tomorrow. Lol

let's discuss, feel free to use the comment box below.

Both men n women shld work out. A man isnt entitled 2 havin a big belly (or belle). My boyfriend is great in men, good lookin but he has a big belly. Dat doesnt stop me 4rm loving him. I dont tink we should judge pple based on hw dey luk. I mean a "fat" guy can date d most gorgeous woman in d world, n cheat on her wit sum1 who doesnt come close 2 her. Its all abt d heart. And yes "AMBO. AMBO" is d next Governor

1. Both should work out equally.
2. the man will get away, it's unfortunate but society has made it seem that way I guess. A man could have an akpu pack and still be a 10 for all I know.
3. I once knew a guy who was cheating on his incredibly gorgeous gf with this ugly ass chick, appaz the sex with this babe was top notch so I'll say looks don't count
4. Hell no!
5. I didn't vote but it was rigged. Bleh!

Men with pot bellies are a big turn off for me...few weeks back,Ī was in a gathering and most of the men present were carrying calabash*meaning potbelly*around and they seem so comfy with it...y'al neede to see the way they were emptying bottles of alcohol....
Society had made it look like its OK for men to be potbellied as its a sign of *bigman*thing and not OK for a lady to have a big tummy.....most gender sud hit the gym and keep fit..
