I've got explanations and news!

 

Forgive my absence but you will want to read this through till the end!

        Good day my fabulous readers and members of the AskRalph Fam! I know some of you might have been wondering where I went to or what happened and why I haven't put anything up on my blog. Well I'm going to give you guys a couple of reasons but before that I want to apologize and say that I am deeply sorry for the sudden absence, it's just that sometimes it's quite inevitable. I miss doing this every single time that something comes up to pull me away from you guys. Even if you don't forgive me for the sake of me, then do it for the sake of the adorable cat/puss in boots up there.
    You see I had so much stress at work that each time I get on my keyboard to put up a post, I just blank out. So instead I just back off and out instead of putting up meaningless content. I'd rather not write at all than to put out posts that have no up or down to 'em. This is just one reason.
     The second reason is actually the most interesting one! You see I have been working on a couple of things that will benefit you the readers. So while I was away, I kept thinking of ways to make the blog better and 1 particular thing that I came up with had me busy and moving around a lot. You see, I've been talking to a couple of people and companies for an interesting kind of giveaway that I want to do. I'm not talking your usual kind of 1st to comment kind of giveaway, nah! nothing of such(we will do that but that's not the interesting one). I'm talking of something that will keep you people more engaged in the blog. It's still a work in progress and will only improve through time so you all will want to keep an eye out on the blog from now. For now I am only going to give you guys a couple of hints that will help you to win and take note that the sooner you start up on the hints, the higher your chances of winning when it's time....

One major Hint, if you are viewing this blog on a mobile device, try to view through a PC and it would be easier for you, trust me.


 
So I planned a couple of ways that will boost peoples chances of winning and winning big. I am working on a couple more ways and as I mentioned before, I am talking to some people to increase the number of things you can win, but we will work from small and go on up. So let's get this started...

1.Top Contributors:

The most important thing and set of people that would be considered in my giveaway would be my top contributors. If you are viewing this through a PC or Laptop or Table, you will see a list of my top contributors on the widget to the left of the blog. Those on Mobile devices might not be able to see it but it's going to look like the pic I have above this. Now you will see my Top 25 contributors listed there. That widget there automatically scans my blog for comments and puts up the number of comments a particular person has left up there beside his/her name with the person with the most at the Top. Now the more you participate in commenting on my blog the more chance you get to be openly recognized by the blog viewers and me the admin, meaning a higher chance of winning. I would also love to add that Spam comments and comments that are not directly relevant to the topic might not help much, commenting the same thing over and over again wouldn't help also. However if you read through my posts and make your comment directly related to my post, you will stand a better chance.
Hint: You can comment on old posts and they would count!

                           

  2 Active participation in discussions and polls: 

                                                   

Now if you look to the left of the blog again you are going to notice a poll once in a while asking you to vote one option from many every once in a while. Presently what I have there is about the number 1 reason for failure in marriage. Those who participate and vote would be recognized and this could boost your chances of winning also. These polls also start out as a blog post asking you to explain more, participation in those posts would count a lot.

My Dear Ralph section is one of the top reasons why I opened this blog, it is designed to help people out. Now if you actively participate in giving meaningful assistance in your own way  in the comment box of the Dear Ralph section then you also stand a stronger chance of winning. So when you see a post tagged 'Dear Ralph' you would want to read through and help out fellow members of the AskRalph Family

Hint: Comments on older posts would also count.



                                                              4.Social Media: 

Participation in AskRalph family Social media activities from Facebook page likes, google+ follows, twitter follows, follow up on discussions, hash tagging and many more would also be recognized. You can find these follow icons on the side bars of the blog


.....These are just to mention a few of the many things that could help you win on the blog. Generally just make sure to participate more from now on and stand a chance of winning things from cash prizes to gift voucher and other items.

Finally I would also like to say that I'll be hosting the usual 'first to comment' kind of giveaway that is popular with blogs every now and then very soon. The thing is that i'll never have a set date so be prepared all the time. I'll announce it on that day and all you have to do is be the 'x-teenth' person to comment and you will win.
