If Intimacy doesn't prove love then why is cheating a problem

This was just  something I saw randomly and decided to write on...


Well I believe it depends on the person. Certain people find that part of a relationship sacred especially here in Nigeria while over in the foreign countries you will find a couple of people into such fetish. I think its best to just respect what a person wants and if you can't then you belong in a different affair. The most important thing is not getting the other person hurt. Cheating is seen as betrayal that is why it causes a serious problem when one partner engages in it, and just as the name implies the other person feels cheated out of the trust, loyalty and promises they made together. If you feel that it shouldn't be a problem then ask yourself if you'll be okay finding out that your significant other was having an intimate relationship with another person besides you. Yes intimacy doesn't prove love quite alright but it doesn't mean that it gives any party the right to go ahead and cheat. It all boils down to trust and betrayal.
     Think of a friend that is really close to you, someone you can genuinely refer to as a brother, now picture him cheating you out of your share of profit in a business. You'll get very angry at the person but not because of the money even if you did need it, what will hurt more would be the fact that you trusted that person and felt betrayed, when its a betrayal by involving intimately with another person its kind of the same concept only worse, there is just something that reaches deeper than what we see or do on the surface when it comes to intimacy. Its something you want to have with that special person and that person alone hoping that the person considers you as much as you do them to want to have it alone with you also.But if you still decide that it shouldn't be a problem don't hurt the next person, there are plenty people out there willing to have it with no meaning attached, just make sure to state what you want from the next person to avoid betraying or hurting them.
