Friday Fact: Fact about Health, Weight loss and Diets

         

      Because of the emphasis on how a person should have a slimmer or should I say a thinner structure to look beautiful or "healthy". Most people believe that once anything makes you slimmer, it is relatively healthy for you. So you see all sorts of diets from proteins only diet, water only diet to the one I heard recently "indomie" diet. This last one means that you should eat only a packet of small sized indomie at night to stay healthy. I do the maths in my head each time and calculate the amount of nutrients these people are advising you to miss out on and I wonder their definition of 'healthy'.

The fact is that not everything that makes you slim makes you healthy.


Let's take this for example. You suffer from a terrible sickness and because of that you start looking thinner due to loss of nutrients. You can tell by looking at the mirror and also from the basic fact that you fell ill, you can tell that you aren't healthy. Well that's the same thing you do to yourself with these diets, the only difference is that you didn't fall sick (yet). If you look at these two scenarios you will see that loss and lack of nutrients play a major role in how you slim down. From unhealthy detoxification that starves you of nutrients to unhealthy diets that restrict you to one particular class of food, they all promise and deliver a slimmer figure for you. But it doesn't mean that they make you any healthier.

I urge every single one of you to just concentrate on a healthy food calendar and discipline yourself on how to eat moderately. Exercise regularly, get enough sleep, drink plenty water and imbibe other healthy lifestyle habits. It's not going to drain the life out of you like the other unhealthy options. But you will find yourself looking better, more alive and more attractive. Trust me, take the healthier approach and get your nutrients. You might get slim faster through these diets but you will find that you hardly have any energy or stamina to take you through each day. But the healthier lifestyle will leave you with a healthy body structure and with more energy.

Eat to get healthy and not to loose weight.
