Tuesday Tip: Visualize and Isolate




 Sometimes when we workout, it look like we aren't getting in enough work and we aren't building our targeted muscles as much as we want. This is regardless of how hard we feel we are working, somehow we just see that there is no progress. Sometimes it is because we aren't concentrating hard enough on that muscle, all we have to do is visualize.  Here is a tip to help you get the most out of your muscle training sessions, whether at the gym or at home. So here is what you do. Look at the diagram below, it shows all the individual group of muscles. Now if you have a particular muscle that you want to work out and you know the particular exercise that would help you target that muscle. Let's say you want to do wide bench presses for your chest muscles. All you have to do is Visualize and isolate that muscle in your head. When you do this, you are going to automatically put in more tension into that muscle group and the extra tension is going to help work your targeted muscle better.

Picture a workout that works a wide variety of muscle groups. Let's say the push-ups, they work your chests, arms, abs, back and legs. But you really want to work your abs using the push-ups, maybe because you like the state of other muscle already. If you Visualize your abs and Isolate that group in your head, you will find yourself squeezing your abdominal muscles harder and you can almost feel the burn immediately.

It's as simple as that, use the diagram below or if you already know the human anatomy very well then get into your head. Remember,your mind has a lot to do with your workout, if your mind isn't in it, it would prove difficult. Visualize and Isolate...
